The order leaves the table. The ticket’s already printing.
AmbiencePOS is the till, the kitchen and bar printers, room service, stock, bookings and the books for restaurants, bars and hotels. It works with the thermal printers you already own.
Set up in two minutes, no card needed. Kitchen, Venue or Inn: switch any time during the trial.
One order, four places, no running.
Friday, 7:42pm. Here is what happens to a single order at table T4, and the room-service call that comes in with it.
The waiter taps it in
Three guests at T4. Starters, mains and drinks go in on the tablet, with the medium-rare and the shellfish allergy noted against the right seat.

Questions owners ask first.
Which printers work?
Any ESC/POS thermal printer, 58mm or 80mm: Epson, XPrinter, Bixolon, Star in ESC/POS mode and most unbranded ones. Connect them by network cable or Wi-Fi, USB on Windows, Bluetooth on Windows, or serial. A small program called the Print Bridge runs on a PC or Raspberry Pi in the venue and sends tickets to them.
What happens when the internet goes down?
Run AmbiencePOS on a computer in your venue and the floor, kitchen and printers keep working over your own network, because nothing needs the internet to take an order or print a ticket. Text messages and emails wait in the outbox and are retried when the connection returns.
Can it charge food to a hotel room?
Yes, on the Inn plan. Room-service orders and restaurant bills can go on the room, guests can order from a QR code in the room, and the bill is settled at checkout. On the Community plan it can also connect to a hotel system you already use, taking its check-ins and sending charges to it.
Do I have to type my menu in again?
Your menu, recipes and stock list go in once. On the Community plan we move them across for you.
Who owns the data?
You do. It sits in your own database, and every report downloads as CSV, Excel or PDF.
